Hi everyone! Well, we finally have a mantel! For some strange reason, our house didn't have a mantel or anything around the fireplace except tile. So, Paul decided that he was going to build one. He started the process back in September and once we got busy on the weekends with Houston's football, the project just went to the waste side (doesn't that happen to all projects?). But I told him that we didn't have a place for our Christmas stockings, so he needed to finish it before we left on our trip back to Memphis and Paris.
Well, folks...here are the before and after pics!! The before pic is kina blurry, but you can definitely tell that something needed to be there!

Isn't it pretty?!?! I really love it and I think he did a FANTASTIC job! He did it all by himself, and cut out everthing and routed everything!
Well, we are off to Memphis tonight and will be driving to Paris tomorrow morning! I can't wait!
